was following the law.

White cops who murdered young Black boys

were following the law (as they embodied it).

Women couldn´t do or be what we do now

100 years ago

and that was the law.

And the list goes on and on

so as we sit here today

and reflect on the ridiculousness of the past

we can ask ourselves,

what laws are we following 

that echo the absurdity of the past?
