Packed

 All the suitcases

were on the bed, open and waiting 

to be filled.

She had packed

and was thinking

all her mental suitcases

were waiting too.

Would she take these old thoughts

behaviors 

and feelings with her too?

Or would she leave them

in a dust heap

forgetting they existed 

like old clothes

that no longer fit?
