Flight

navigating through life,

trying to put things together

to see the whole picture 

of what it all means...

and by the time we do

it's time to fly away  

and leave the familiar cocoon

of darkness and fear.

As we do,

the sunshine illuminates

the kaleidoscope 

on our butterfly wings;

touching the wind 

like love at first sight.
