Sunshine

Since Christmas...

2020 ended with colder nights

and grey skies. 

Today is the first 

of a new year

and the sun started the day

and as it touches everything 

I stare at the light

hoping it infiltrates

and illuminates 

my own inner rising sun

that never sets.
