Mirrors

Reflections can hold

all the shadows

screams

monsters

and dark places

forgotten...

so when a looking glass appears

you don't want to go

into it

it's...because you are already there

you see

and opening your eyes

really opening them

and seeing that reflection...

is a reminder

that you were there all along

and watching the darkness embracing you

as an old friend

doesn't terrify you anymore

and that

is terrifying.
