Jittery

nervous energy

like current 

flowing.

it pumps through me

and radiates out

and I'm embarrassed 

how giggly I am

around you.

I suddenly cloak myself in shyness

trying to cover 

the affect I let you have

but it amplifies 

and shines brighter

and creates a forcefield

around us

and like insects

we are drawn to each other.

Becoming in sync

we fly

we float

We are...

fireflies

lighting up together

in the darkness of night.
