Walter Mercado

A kind soul who lived out loud, Walter "The Most Fabulous" Mercado is special and shined his light bright for all to see.

As a child, I saw him on television and all I remember is that he was charismatic and dressed like a super hero and Broadway star-with his capes and jewels, he was royalty, a prince and king even! But he really spoke to you, like really giving you some encouragement and telling you to visualize your success and to believe in your dreams, but also to believe in yourself.

 

And so, as I watched his documentary on Netflix, Mucho Mucho Amor: The Legend of Walter Mercado halfway through it, I began to cry...because it was the reminder I needed.  

It was as though his spirit was open to all. He was so giving to all and really loving to all. Some feel he was over the top, but I feel that if I had known him we would have been friends.

So I thanked him yesterday for his words and his presence and his spirit of being true to oneself and by doing so we can rise to live a life of beauty, truth, and mucho mucho amor!

Muchisimas Gracias Walter, May you continue to spread love and light where you are and May God continue to Bless you infinitely as you have blessed us all.
