On the rise

 The COVID cases are currently spiking all around the country of Belize.

With concern on the rise, so is fear.

The fear is not of the virus, but of the idea that it is unforgiving and unbiased and will slay anyone who is deems worthy. 

And behind that fear is the one thought as a human species we don't consciously accept, that death is always there, waiting to snatch us up from this life and send us into an uncertain dream.
