To Be Seen

To be on stage, 

and to sing, 

is to be seen

and heard.

It's to let your guard down and drop everything, to basically strip down in front of complete strangers and express your most vulnerable self.

At least that's how it feels for me

and though I hadn't planned on it, after hosting,

I got up on stage with the intention to sing

and showed myself

my inner self

who feels deep

and is afraid of rejection,

but I felt safe and whether the audience accepted me

in that moment,

I accepted myself.
