The old world

"I feel like the world is ending" so may have confided in me and yes, I agree it is ending.

The world of White supremacy
The world of pretended not to know another human's pain because your skin color, gender, sexual orientation or religion or country is different.
The world of remaining silent that helps perpetrators continue to hurt others and commit crime.
The world of the news not covering a story because it doesn't get them ratings and views.

All that gone.

We are globally in solidarity with the Black Lives Movement.
We openly support all types of people's and their struggles.
We openly speak up when someone is hurting.
and we are ALL the Media and will whip out our phones to document the sometimes, sad, horrible truth that happens.

And if it scares you that the "old world" is ending you have benefited from the oppression and suppression of others.

And like many, I try not to wear my pain for all to see, but that doesn't mean pain and suffering are non existent.

So I look forward to this new world because the old one wasn't usually very kind, safe, or uplifting for people like me....Black, Muslim, Woman of Caribbean Descent.
