Un Abrazo Eterno

Today's featured poem reflects the beauty of an embrace by one's beloved:

What is an embrace?

It is welcoming,

and let's me know I belong.

It is healing,

and puts me back together.

It is protective,

and makes me feel safe.

But, an embrace with you?

It is pure devotion,

a prayer that was answered

for this pious servant.

It is love,

and I'm like a child again

believing everything will okay.

It is home,

a place I can always return

when life throws me down.

And even when it ends

I can still feel it there,

as we hold each other

in spirit.

Uplifted by the strength in yours arms,

an embrace with you

is the only one for me.
