Now that everyone has been reminded that they have a limited amount of time on the earth,
you'd think they would get humble and change for the better of themselves and others.

But no, for some people they dig deeper into their own biases and negativity and evil nature; and act on it.

Two white men shot down a young black man who was jogging. Domestic violence cases have gone up as women are being beaten by husbands and boyfriends. Some women (in Mexico) have been beaten to death. And the list goes on and on...and continues to grow...

It seems that fear is the catalyst that make men lash out on whoever is around...

Being a brute and turning into a beast won't prolong your life, actually on the contrary the opposite will happen.

And all that you do, eventually comes back to you, so why not do something to prolong the life of oneself and others?
