The Shift

The tension of waiting
is heavy
on our minds
and
shoulders...
and hearts.

Wishing for schedules to return
and the normalcy
of coming and going
as we
please,
to
please
come back,

but human nature
is to want
especially what we can't have.

And this longing
will remain
as nothing
will return
back to the old sameness.

May we shift
into a newer
better sameness
for all.
