Clear Seeing

I looked up
and there they were

eyes.

Staring right at me.

They held me in place

and saw...
into me.

We both gazed
one in jest,
while I was in awe,
transfixed.

And then poof!

I woke up

and ran
and crouched down
and covered my head.

I can still see you, the voice said.

It was then I realized,

I was still dreaming.
