Freeze

When the sun is up high 

and sweat beads line your body,

but you're cold inside.

When the ground beneath you suddenly solidifies,

and becomes slippery

and you fall.

When you lie still,

watching puffs of breath

lift into the cold air.

When you're body hurts,

but all you feel is the pain

inside.
